Around mid-June 2022, the Future Fund Regranting Program sponsored $8,000 in work by Sebastian Sanchez on timelines. The upfront payment was to be earned by Sebastian through work done in the future. The grant administrator is Pablo Stafforini, and Vipul Naik is working closely with Pablo and Sebastian on the project. See https://forum.effectivealtruism.org/posts/paMYXYFYbbjpdjgbt/future-fund-june-2022-update#Regranting_program_in_more_detail or more general background on the Future Fund Regranting Program. In September 2022, a followup grant of $17,000 was approved, bringing the total approved funding to $25,000; the additional $17,000 was subsequently transferred through FTX. On 2022-11-08, in the wake of the collapse of FTX, and uncertainty regarding whether to use more of the Future Fund money, work on the Future Fund Regranting Program's timelines was paused. Some of the grant money ($7,500) still remained in FTX at the time of collapse and is now lost due to the collapse (we recorded the date of loss as 2022-11-11). After evaluation of various ethical considerations as well as legal risk, we have decided to resume work funded by the Future Fund Regranting Program grant starting 2022-12-17.
